If you are wandering around Comic-con and also have a pocket full of minicomics to trade, please ask me.
Otherwise, I’ll be posting the pages here for the next week or so, and you can look at/read it anyway.
This is a particle of a story I keep starting on and then giving up on. I am still unhappy with the writing and the pacing and a bunch of other things, but at this point I’m going to just try to spit it out.
The title is from a Gregory Corso poem:
Sea Chanty
by Gregory Corso
My mother hates the sea
my sea especially
I warned her not to
it was all I could do
Two years later
the sea ate her
Upon the shore I found a strange
yet beautiful food
I asked the sea if I could eat it
and the sea said that I could
-Oh, sea, what fish is this
so tender and so sweet?
-Thy mother’s feet
My name is Shayna, and these are things that I make.
